Soil: Well-draining soil, sandy or gravelly soils are ideal. Plant is salt sensitive
Temperature: Tolerates both heat and frost, making it an excellent plant for the low desert
Pruning:
Disease and Pests: Root rot if soil is poorly drained
Uses: Nectar plant for bees and butterflies
Notes: Salt burn on leaf margins is common because of moderate levels of salinity in local municipal water sources. Short lived
